Description

Our Surplus Sheet Offcuts are supplied from excess fabrication stock across a range of popular materials and finishes, offered at significantly reduced prices while stocks last.

Choose from Clear Acrylic, Clear Polycarbonate, Dark Tinted Acrylic, Silver Acrylic Mirror, White Gloss Acrylic and Opal (36% LT) Acrylic, cut to standard A4 and A3 sizes and available as single sheets, packs of 5, or packs of 10.

All sheets are brand new and unused, cut from the same high quality material we use across our commercial and industrial work. As this is surplus stock, some materials may include a mix of cast and extruded acrylic, and thickness options vary by material, so please check the Technical tab before ordering.

    Cant praise this company enough, I ordered a piece of HIP's Mirror cut to size and it was perfect, fitted just right and the mirror looked like real mirror, cost me £19.99 with post when a new mirror would of cost me £100 from B&Q, In the photo the mirror on the right panel is half HIP's mirror, thank you guys, Alan chappell 39 ICYPARK

    Placed my order for replacement greenhouse acrylic on a Sunday, arrived by the Wednesday, very pleased with the delivery time. The plastic is of excellent quality, cut accurate and well. The packing was well thought out, with plastic spacers on each corner to prevent any damage in transit. Would defiantly be my first choice to go to if I need any more replacements for my greenhouse. Thank you

    How do I drill acrylic?

    • Use a high-speed steel or a step drill bit to avoid cracking.
    • Place the acrylic on a firm surface and drill slowly, using moderate pressure.
    • Ensure the bit is sharp and designed for plastics.

    Do you offer installation services?

    No, we supply the materials only but can provide advice on best practices for installation.

    Can I cut acrylic sheet myself?

    Yes, you can cut acrylic yourself using a fine-toothed saw, jigsaw, or circular saw. Be sure to secure the material to prevent movement during cutting. We also offer a professional cutting service for precise results.

    How do I measure for cutouts or holes?

    Measure from the edges of the sheet to the sides of the hole for the most accurate positioning. For more complex designs, please provide a drawing or digital file.

    What is the standard radius of a curved corner?

    Unless otherwise specified, our standard corner radius is 5mm.

    What is the largest sheet size you can cut?

    We can cut sheets up to 3050 x 2040 mm depending on the material and your project requirements.

    What is your cutting tolerance?

    We cut acrylic sheets with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. For tighter tolerances, please contact us in advance.

    What are polished edges?

    Polished edges are the smooth, glossy edges that result from diamond polishing or flame polishing after cutting. It gives the edge a clearer, glass-like finish.

    What is diamond polishing?

    Diamond polishing creates smooth, glossy edges on acrylic sheets by using high-speed rotating diamond-tipped tools. It is ideal for straight edges and gives a professional finish.

    Can I order a custom shape?

    Yes, we can cut acrylic and other plastics to any shape you require. Provide your specifications or upload a drawing during the order process.

    Can I use acrylic outdoors?

    Yes, acrylic is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor applications such as signs, windows, and more.

    Can I use acrylic for windows and secondary glazing?

    Yes, acrylic is ideal for windows and secondary glazing due to its strength and lightweight properties. It offers good thermal and sound insulation.

    Does acrylic turn yellow over time?

    Acrylic is resistant to yellowing for many years. High-quality brands like Perspex® can resist yellowing for up to 30 years.

    Is acrylic stronger than glass?

    Yes, acrylic is approximately 20 times stronger than glass, making it much more impact-resistant.

    Is acrylic suitable for laser cutting and engraving?

    Yes, both cast and extruded acrylic are suitable for laser cutting and engraving. However, cast acrylic tends to provide a smoother finish and is better suited for fine work.

    What is the difference between Acrylic, Perspex, and Plexiglas?

    They are essentially the same material, with Perspex and Plexiglas being brand names for acrylic.

    How do I clean acrylic?

    Clean acrylic by using a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they can damage the surface of the acrylic.
